Ra (sometimes spelled Rah, more accurately R é), also translated as Rui or Lai. He is the sun god in ancient Egyptian mythology, regarded as the noon sun, and also the head of Heliopolis - the Nine Pillars God.
Since the First Dynasty of Egypt, Ra has been the most important god in ancient Egyptian mythology, and after Thebes became the capital of all Egypt, he merged with the highest god of Thebes, Amun, to form Amunlah. For over a thousand years, Ra has been the sun god of Egypt.
Lazen was replaced by Aten during the Akhenaten Reforms during the reign of Pharaoh Amenhotep IV of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. But this reform was too intense and violated the core interests of the aristocratic class, and it came to a halt with the death of Amenhotep IV, in order to restore the status of the sun god.
